Configuring Microsoft Outlook Express/2003
Configuring Outlook Express
- Open Outlook Express
- Click Tools > Accounts
- Click Add > Mail
- Your Name
Enter a Display Name in the Display Name field
Example: John Q. Public
Click Next - Internet Email Address
Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail address field
Example: john@myemail.com
Click Next - E-mail Server Names
Choose POP3 from the drop down list
Enter mail.epolk.net for the Incoming mail server
Enter mail.epolk.net for the Outgoing mail server
Click Next - Internet Mail Logon
Enter your entire email address in the Account Name field
Example: john@myemail.com
Enter your password in the Password field
Be sure the Remember password box is checked
Click Next - Click Finish
- From the Internet Accounts screen choose the account just created
Click Properties - Choose the Servers tab
- Check the My server requires authentication box
Click OK - Click Close
Outlook Express is now configured.
Configuring Outlook 2003
- Open Outlook
- Click Tools > Email Accounts
- Choose the Add a new e-mail account button
Click Next - Server Type
Choose the POP3 button
Click Next - Internet E-mail Settings
Enter your Name in the Your Name Field
Example: John Q. Public
Enter your e-mail address in the E-mail Address field
Example: john@myemail.com
Enter mail.epolk.net in the Incoming mail server field
Enter mail.epolk.net in the Outgoing mail server field
Enter your entire email address in the User Name field
Example: john@myemail.com
Enter your password in the Password field
Be sure the Remember password box is checked
Click the More Settings button - Choose the Outgoing Server tab
- Check the My outgoing server requires authentication box
Click OK - Click Next
- Click Finish
Outlook 2003 is now configured.
